A Peek Into The Storyline

A demi-human narrates the story about a student, Nagai Kei. During a mishap, Nagai finds out that he is not a normal human but from the world of Ajin. Few humans, called Ajin, have eternal life with extreme rejuvenating abilities that can even overcome death.

They can also create Black Ghosts which can only be seen by other Ajins. While most of the black ghosts are dependent on their designated Ajins for instruction, few like Nagai have independent decision-making skills.

As the story progresses, these Ajins seem to be harmful to the public and hence are captivated by the government. Where the government portrays a much-caring image to protect these Ajins, the fact lies that they use them for experimenting.

Due to this, Satou, an Ajin who escaped from the government’s captivity turns out to seek vengeance from the government.

Kei on the other hand does not want to be a part of this dispute. However, he enters into an agreement with the government that he would be freed by the government if he helps them to win over Satou.
