With so many superhero concepts heading to the small screen in 2012 and beyond, it’s hard not to think what could have been for one of the genre’s biggest names. Ultimately, David E. Kelley‘s Wonder Woman failed to make it out of the pilot stage, many believe for the better, but what would it have looked like? These (unofficial) Wonder Woman 2011 credits provide some idea.

To clarify, the titles are fan-made, using footage from the pilot.
Who knows, perhaps WW would have improved post pilot, but from everything I’ve seen of the project, the right decision was made.

Oh dear. Palicki makes an good action heroine, but the rest of the footage
looked terrible. Liz Hurley seems to be doing her usual bad Joan Collins
impersonation, and from what I’ve read elsewhere, the pilot would have been
too violent for the family audience that would have been the natural
market for a “Wonder Woman” show.
Given Wonder Woman is the only superhero the general public knows who
isn’t part of a superhero team (Storm and Jean Grey, Black Widow, Hawkgirl)
it’s a shame she can’t get a decent live-action adaptation.
