You’ve seen the grainy but awesome Walking Dead promo from Comic-Con. Now take a crystal clear look at not one, but TWO official promos released today.
The first promo is the AMC version shown at Comic Con, while the second promo is the UK version released by FX.
But that’s not all! We now have the official Walking Dead premiere date for you to put a giant red circle in your diaries. Head past the jump for all of that.

The FX promo has a slightly different tone and seems to have several shots not included in the AMC promo. It’s much shorter but contains a high level of awesome. Click below to watch it:
For me, the single creepiest image from both promos is Rick’s encounter with the little ‘walker’ girl, who we should name Swifty Swiftington. I’m both eager and terrified to see that scene once the show airs.
Now for the premiere date. We knew that the show would premiere in October during Fearfest - now there’s an exact date and it’s almost too perfect to be true. Yes folks, The Walking Dead will launch Sunday, October 31st. That’s right – Halloween night! The length of the first episode has also been expanded to a zombtastic 90 minutes. This might mean more filler, but I think the show deserves our trust that every additional minute will be worthwhile.
And is it just me, or does it feel like we’re waiting for the movie event of the year, or something equally epic?

this looks absolutely fantastic!! Its just a shame Timothy Olyphant is already in Justified (which is an amazing show in its right), its just like this role was written for him.
