Did Touch hit the spot in the ratings game?
Touch opened to solid numbers in last night’s special preview, attracting 11.9 million viewers and a 3.9 rating in the adult demo, while its Idol lead had 19.5 million viewers and a 6.4 rating — a 14 percent drop from last week’s two-hour season premiere.
Touch delivered the highest retention (percentage) of a drama debuting after Idol, and is the second-biggest premiere for a new drama this season.
The 3.9 demo rating is highter than the Terra Nova and Alcatraz premieres (3.2 and 3.3 respectively), although neither had the boost of an Idol lead-in.
Touch officially launches in March. If you missed the pilot you can watch it online here (US).
