Tim Kring wants to bring Heroes back for Mini Series. Seriously.

So Heroes finally ended with Claire flinging herself from a Ferris Wheel and making her powers public.

In an interview with TV Guide, Heroes creator Tim Kring has revealed plans to bring the canceled Heroes back for one last hurrah in a mini series. I can tell you’re as excited as I am. The plot will skip ahead a year to see the effect of the cheerleader chick’s revelation:

“There will be a huge cultural and social change in the world,” says Kring. “Some [of our characters] will be hiding, some struggling, some basking in the glory.”

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

What good can come of this except a quick buck? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against people earning money for quality products, but Heroes has HAD IT’S CHANCE – several times over.  Can we just let it die while the memory of season still lives on in our minds?

Seriously, the last thing that serialized TV needs right now is for more damage to be inflicted upon it by a show that clearly ran out of steam a long time ago.

Heroes fans who have stuck in there will no doubt disagree, and I respect that, but I think it’s time that Heroes moved on and let other serialized show’s have their chance to blossom. If this mini series actually happens and it turns out to be good then I’ll happily eat my words, but let’s just say that my faith in the show ran out a long time ago.

Heroes ran out of steam? you are kidding? it was set up for a whole new chapters and the quality of the programme was outstanding every week. (maybe the exception of the lady who saw sound which was uber dull storyline)
I have watched the dvd box set twice with my 14 year old daughter and we really wish it would come back asap…..brilliant escapism, strong characters, and endless possibilities. if anything it needs a final wrap up at the very least, it could be a box office smash too
