A new FOX LA promo for Sunday’s “Triggerfinger” continuation of The Walking Dead leaves Rick with little or no choice.

Oh Rick. You had no choice? Really? I’ve lost count at the number of seriable characters have uttered that sentiment. Granted, by the time Dave and Tony drew their weapons it was kill or be killed, but his perceived lack of choice is based on the fact that he didn’t want to share the farm. That’s a very broad reason, but to my mind it encompasses his handling of the situation.

Still, it’s interesting, these are the type of questions that make stories like this all the more intriguing, and this is the reality of the world that Rick is both in and perpetuating. He’s no longer ‘the difference’ (certainly, his moral compass is getting twitchy). I just wonder if we’re looking at a Walter White (Breaking Bad) situation with old officer friendly — will the super protagonist become the very villain of the piece?
