The first cast photo for AMC’s The Walking Dead has been sweeping the Internet – and no wonder, as cast photos go this one is straight-up cool! Head past the jump to get a better look.
I’m going to just say it: I LOVE this photo! It reeks of awesome. The first thing that catches my eye is the ‘washed-out grey’ look. This somewhat muted color scheme perfectly fits the world of the show that I have envisioned in my mind.
I like that we can only see half of the zombie’s face – it looks cool but it also makes it seem that our zombie friend is smiling. Zombies have good days too, right? Rick Grimes’ role as the leader and protector is clear, while the various expressions on the characters faces is interesting. I also kinda like the fact that they’re not aware of the throng of hungry zombies gathering behind them. I guess they’ll soon find out! 
Now I’m in a bit of a pickle – do I go ahead and catch up on all of the original comics, or let the series unfold without knowing what scares are around the corner? Oh Walking Dead, why do you do this to me!?
