AMC and Netflix team up to stream The Walking Dead to the masses.

AMC Networks has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Netflix to bring exclusive streaming of The Walking Dead season 1 to Netflix beginning today.

Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said:

“We are delighted to be in business directly with AMC Networks. AMC’s programming sensibilities have struck a chord with our members and with the overall viewing public,”

He also highlighted Netflix’s existing streaming rights for AMC’s Breaking Bad and Mad Men.

The deal includes future seasons of Dead.
