The third season of The Walking Dead will be a tale of two communities, as Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his embattled band of survivors encounter the town of Woodbury and its tyrannical leader, The Governor (David Morrissey).
In preparation for this massive story arc, EW.com has produced special Walking Dead Season 3 covers. They include a contemplative Rick, warrior Michonne and her ‘pets’, the Dixon brothers reunited, and a blade-carrying Governor relishing a zombie encounter. Check them out below:
Inside the magazine, executive producer Robert Kirkman offers the following take on the inevitable ‘collision’:
“This season really is about setting up these two worlds and watching them come to a head and collide. And you know that there are going to be some pretty explosive encounters between Rick and the Governor. This season is going to be about getting to know these two characters, and then waiting for their eventual confrontation that could destroy everything.”
