Carlton Cuse has confirmed that The Strain will end after Season 5.
Cuse has long stated that The Strain is a limited five-season story, and fresh from seeing the horror series renewed for Season 3 earlier today, the executive producer confirms that there’s been no change in the plan.
Speaking at the press tour, Cuse also clarified how the show will approach the remainder of the book timeline, noting that book 2 covers Seasons 2 and 3 with Book 3 covering Seasons 4 and 5.
There wont be a sixth season of The Strain, but might there be a spinoff, ala The Walking Dead?
Both Cuse and creator Guillermo del Toro agree – (renewal permitting) it will be 56 episodes and out for The Strain, so a spinoff is unlikely
Stay tuned to find out whether The Strain remains true to the plan…
