On Tuesday, the world got its first crystal-clear look at, not one, but two official trailers for AMC’s zombie apocalypse series, The Walking Dead.

To say that we’re excited is to say that zombies are hungry. It’s a no-brainer. The show has had the best promotional campaign of any this summer – it hasn’t been all in your face (possibly because it doesn’t premiere until October), but it’s been deadly, and has many doing the zombie walk in anticipation. No doubt some of the positivity surrounding the show stems from the source material.

In a recent visit to the Walking Dead set, MTV spoke to creator of the original graphic novel and Executive Producer, Robert Kirkman to see how the series will compare to the book.
