Official story details and promo photos for the eleventh episode of Supernatural Season 7 tease “Adventure In Babysitting”.

“ONCE UPON A TIME” ACTRESS MEGHAN ORY GUEST STARS — Still reeling after what happened to Bobby (Jim Beaver), Dean (Jensen Ackles) becomes dangerously obsessed over finding a way to take down Dick Roman (guest star James Patrick Stuart). Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) decides to help a teenage girl (guest star Madison Mclaughlin) look for her father (guest star Ian Tracey), a hunter who has gone missing. Sam traces his last steps to a truck stop where the help (guest star Meghan Ory) turns out not to be so friendly. Jeannot Szwarc directed the episode written by Adam Glass.

Underseer January 5, 2012 at 3:20 AM: Still a fan of Supernatural, but the Leviathans are, in my (not so) humble opinion, not very imaginative monsters – that they’ve shown so far anyway.
I find it frustrating that they touched on HP Lovecraft yet chose not to use the Cthulhu mythos and the multi-dimensional, cosmic horror of the Old Ones:
The Old Ones would make truly terrifying foes who make demons look like cub scouts:
— Multi-dimensional beings who ruled the Earth for millennia over mankind, before the Elder Race imprisoned them in submarine tombs, where they lie in suspended animation, coercing the minds of men to release them.
— To see their true form is to go mad.
— Their servants, the shoggoth, are amoeba-like monstrosities that engulf and dissolve their prey.
— The Old One’s drowned island cities are made of material with more than 3 physical dimensions, and occasionally surface and ensnare passing ships.
So far the Leviathan just seem to have a bad dental plan. So here’s hoping before Supernatural closes shop, the stars are right and Old Ones rise to plague the universe again.
