Benjamin Charles Watson has scored a recurring role on the third season of AMC’s revived serial The Killing, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Appearing in at least four episodes, Watson will play “Gay Ray,” a transgender teen who left home because of a domineering and bigoted adoptive father and has found acceptance and love in his street family, THR confirms. Although he calls himself “Rayna,” he begrudgingly allows his friends to call him Gay Ray, a nickname he’s come to appreciate. Further described as optimistic, funny, intelligent and a solid friend.
Buffy and Merlin alum Anthony Head has been tapped to star in the revived CW pilot The Selection. The Hollywood Reporter has Head playing King Clarkson, the patriarch of the royal family that rules the nation. Clarkson is described as a seasoned leader and politico who warns his son, Maxon, that he’ll have to give up any idea of romantic love and that his choice should be based on making a powerful political alliance.
Poster art for DirecTV’s first original series Rogue has arrived ahead of its April launch. The Thandie Newton starrer revolves around Grace (Newton), a morally and emotionally-conflicted undercover detective who is tormented by the possibility that her own actions contributed to her son’s death.
