Seriable Bites are stories and tidbits from the world of serialized TV that didn’t quite make the front page of Seriable.com over the past few days.

Today’s Bites include: The Secret Circle, Ringer, Boardwalk Empire, Once Upon A Time, Fringe, Doctor Who, American Horror Story, and Person Of Interest.

THE SECRET CIRCLE & RINGER

The Secret Circle and Ringer have received full season pick-ups from the CW.

CW president Mark Pedowitz said of the pick-ups:

“We believe in the creative strength of these dramas, and by giving them back nine orders we can give our audience the chance to enjoy complete seasons of all three of them. With compelling storylines, engaging characters and tremendous buzz, we firmly believe that Hart of Dixie, Ringer and The Secret Circle can become signature series for The CW, the kind of top-notch shows that are synonymous with our brand.”

BOARDWALK EMPIRE

HBO has renewed Boardwalk Empire for a third season.

HBO president Michael Lombardo said:

“Following a triumphant first season, I was eager to see what Terry Winter, Martin Scorsese and the rest of their stellar team had in store, and they continue to surpass our highest expectations. The response from the media and our viewers has been extremely gratifying.”

Looking ahead to Sunday’s fourth episode of season 2 — here’s a sneak peek from “What Does The Bee Do?”:

ONCE UPON A TIME

Alan Dale sure does get around Planet Seriable. The LOST alum, who also appeared on AMC’s The Killing and will soon charm our screens on ABC’s Once Upon A Time, will guest star on the Michael Emerson-fueled Person of Interest. He’ll play a former member of the German Stasi secret police. He will appear in episode 8. [EW]

FRINGE

Seth Gabel talks season 4 in this video interview:

Anna Torv floats some Peter Bishop hints to MTV:

“I don’t think I’m giving anything away when I say that the event of this season is Peter Bishop. We’re going to see a lot more of him and how he unravels these characters.”

The Aussie actress also teased where the storyline will take us as the season evolves. Without giving too much away, she said:

“There are a couple of episodes coming up where we reintroduce a couple of characters and you’ll go, ‘Oh, that’s a different relationship to the one we’re used to. But I’m not going to say any more about that!”

DOCTOR WHO

Two new Doctor Who Confidential videos take us behind-the-scenes with Mark Gatiss in the series 6 finale:

AMERICAN HORROR STORY

The horror story slipped 14% in the Episode 2 ratings to a 1.4 in the much creamed-over demo. [EW]

PERSON OF INTEREST

Better news for Finch and Reese — POI made its first ratings improvement in Episode 4 (11.9 million, 2.7) [EW]. Only a tenth of a point on the previous week, but as they say in the beanstalk climbing industry — up is good! (unless there’s a giant at the top who wants to eat you).
