REVOLUTION: NBC Picks Up Your New Addiction From JJ. Abrams

NBC has picked up the JJ. Abrams and Eric Kripke thriller Revolution to series.

Revolution is described as a high-octane thriller following a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist.

The drama stars David Lyons (The Cape), Billy Burke (Twilight) and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad). Iron Man director Jon Favreau is helming the pilot.

To be honest, it’s far too early to say whether Revolution will be addictive (or as ‘seriable’ as we hope, for that matter), but given that it comes from Abrams and Kripke — and the fact that it’s received a series pickup — it’s certainly going to attract attention.

NBC announces its fall line-up next week.
