Find out which serialized television shows fans are most excited for in 2010-11. Will these shows meet our expectations? Are we in for a year of classic overarching stories?

The final results of our Most Anticipated Serialized TV Show of 2010-11 are in! Head past the jump to see which shows you are most looking forward to over the next 10 or so months.
You voted Fringe as your most anticipated serialized show, with Falling Skies coming in second and The Event landing in third position!

I find it interesting that two new shows – Falling Skies and The Event – have made the top three. Whether that says more about the returning shows or the level of intrigue that surrounds these new shows is up for debate. To be honest, I do think that we have a good balance of established and new shows to look forward to, particularly in the absence of LOST.
Things could have been looking at LOT worse post-LOST. But looking through the list of shows we’ll be covering, I think we have a lot to be excited about, and I suspect that one or two of the lesser anticipated shows may very well surprise us.
AMC’s The Walking Dead and Fox’s Terra Nova both also come in the top 10 – further indicating that the serialized/genre audience is open to new stories to get swept up in.
Here’s the complete standings:
- Fringe – 66% (Fox)
- Falling Skies – 22% (TNT)
- The Event – 15%(NBC)

Thanks again to everyone who voted. This poll not only shows your support for long-form storytelling, but it gives us a good indication of what our expectations are for the coming season. I’m sure that we’ll point back to this poll throughout the season to see whether our early season hopes were satisfied.
What do you think? Are there any surprises in there for you? Would you have liked to have seen certain shows get a bit more love?
