Orphan Black co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson kept their cards close to their chests when it came to the second season of the clone drama at Friday’s Comic-Con event, but here’s a look at what they did share.
Fawcett on bringing new clones into the Season 2 mix:
“We are making this wacky little clone shows and we do like our clones. I don’t think anyone would be surprised if we unveiled a few more clones in season 2.”
Manson on Cosima’s health:
“The truth is, it’s still up in the air. We don’t know what’s going to happen to Cosima.”
Manson on whether the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision that human DNA could not be legally patented will impact Season 2:
“I think thematically definitely. That decision was really crazy coming on the heels, and… what is synthetic? We will be looking at the legal issue. It’s always cool when you hit some kind of zeitgeist and the world is reflected in your show.”
It was also confirmed that the show will return for its second season in April 2014.
