Magic Is Coming — that’s the message from these new Once Upon A Time Season 2 posters that have found their way online.

More creative and compelling that last year’s batch now that the ABC magicians have a better feel for what the show is, the posters conjure both thematic and character illustrations — and Emma Swan has never looked better. Check them out below (via TV Blog, HT Kel):

Aren’t those last three just Photoshopped versions of season 1 posters? The first three are pretty cool though, especially the one with Emma and the sword!

Very true Jim, the last three are basically last season’s character-centrics with some apple-action thrown in. Emma looks pretty mighty with that sword!

Just discovered this show … the entire 1st season sitting recorded on my HTPC. I’ll admit – it was the red dress in ep 1 that made me record it. I’m on ep 8 now and my perv instinct likes the tight jeans and shiny latex and leather of the main 2 characters.

Smart, sexy, fantastic body parts, gorgeous faces – WOW!

The storybook and characters got me watching from eps 2-7, but the adult sub-story keeps me watching. When I was growing up, we didn’t really read popular childrens stories and Disney was not popular. I didn’t see Snow White or any Disney movies until I was 30 – - BTW, where are the 7 dwarfs?

Clearly, the sword poster gets my vote. It reminds me a little of Buffy, however. To me, that is a good thing and not derivative at all.

I’m still trying to put all the modern characters into their unknown storybook roles with every little hint.
