Another one bites the dust – in peace. ABC has canceled V. Meanwhile, the alphabet picks up Once Upon A Time.
I’m not surprised about the cancelation, but I will miss V more than The Event – if only for Queen’s Anna’s shenanigans.
That said, I don’t think Season 2 was strong enough (in ratings or quality) to deserve a return. As I said at the time, the finale itself ended pretty strongly (in those final moments) and would probably be undone by an attempt at a third season.
Elsewhere, life begins for another genre show – ABC has picked up Once Upon A Time – the fairytale drama (another one!) from former LOST producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.
Here’s abrief description of the pilot:
“Once Upon A Time is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy with a healthy dose of mystery. The premise is a modern take on fairy tales, with a female protagonist who comes from a unique background. The show takes place in a small Maine town during the present time.”

I didn’t realize how much I’d miss it until my DVR did the ol “SERIES CANCELLATION” thing for the series recording. made me cry inside a bit.
