The drama from Michael Cuesta, Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson centers on a town’s residents who back from the dead.
The dead are rising in Babylon, NY, and lives are reconnected, old wounds peeled open and families restored — for better or worse. The newly regenerated bodies are healing rapidly and growing stronger, giving way to suspicion that they might be the next step in human evolution.
While Babylon Fields is often associated with the ‘zombie’ tag, the show’s creators believe it goes much further than the initial ‘undead’ premise to explore human concerns underpinned by the question: who is more human, in the end – the dead or the living?
Gerald Cuesta and Atkinson will write and Michael Cuesta will direct the project to be executive produced by the three, reprising their original roles.
