- Ana hands Henry a knife – the knife she got from Goodwin before she killed him. She also used it to peel fruit in What Kate Did. Henry recognizes the knife immediately. Presumably, the Others took the army knife from the soldiers who came to the island back in 1954 (Jughead). Isn’t it fun how the clues were there three seasons before that was revealed?
- Ana changed her mind about killing Henry. She tells Michael that she simply can’t do “it” anymore. The Island probably took that to mean she was ready to die. Ana’s is a tragic death, as she was just about to make a drastic, positive change in her life. She was ready to move on. Unfortunately, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Michael, a man she considered a friend, had to shoot her in order to free Henry and save his son.
- Interestingly, Ana-Lucia is not present at the church reunion in the flashsideways. Maybe it’s because she still had issues to deal with (her unfair death might be one), or maybe she simply didn’t have enough time to bond with the other survivors as much as others. She never allowed anyone, besides Sayid and possibly Jack, to get close to her. Not counting the man shooting at her, obviously.
- Ana was killed by a man who was trying to save his child – something she was never able to do herself. Ana was shot before by a man she trusted, and the baby she carried died because of it (Collision). Let’s hope she found peace and love somewhere after her death.
