
Also on the menu at Thursday’s press tour was a show that almost made our best new serial of the year 2011 top spot — Homeland.
Of the enthralling spy drama, Showtime boss David Nevins reiterated the producers comments that:
“I wouldn’t necessarily assume that Season 2 begins the day after Season 1 ended”
He also noted that the complex web between Sgt. Brody and disgraced CIA agent Carrie “[has] only just begun.”
While acknowledging that the show faces “justified skepticism” off the back of a debut season of episodes that continually turned the crank, but said, “The writers have some very clever answers for that,” [ideas that will keep the show] “one step ahead of the doubting Thomases.”
