The third season of Homeland will feature a bombing plot, it has been confirmed.
Showtime entertainment president David Nevins shared details of the upcoming season’s storyline via Deadline:
“[Homeland Season 3] will deal with the aftermath of a major bombing event and will touch on many things you watch on CNN and Twitter.”
It was previously confirmed that the third chapter in the spy drama will undergo something of a reset, while neither Diego Klattenhoff, who plays Uncle Mike, nor David Marciano‘s Virgil will return as series regulars.
Season 2 culminated with suspected terrorist Nicholas Brody on the run from the FBI, crossing the border into Canada. Season 3 premieres September 29 on Showtime.
