Grimm will delve further into its mythology in Season 2, with the producers promising a more realized exploration.
“The next year will be about Nick coming into his own a lot more,” co-creator David Greenwalt told SciFi Now:
“There will be people from Nick’s life who appear – and it’ll be about him becoming a more realised Grimm, if you will. He’s going to face a lot of competent enemies in the next year, too.”
Fellow co-creator Jim Kouf adds that Grimm royalty will also become a key factor in Season 2. He says:
“We’ll find out Royalty is pulling a lot strings of what’s going on.”
The producers recently spoke about the challenge of balancing the show’s serialized and procedural elements in Season 2 — here’s hoping serial wins out.
Production on the second season of Grimm is already underway for an August start.
