Banshee‘s Joseph Gatt has landed a role in the upcoming fourth season of Game Of Thrones, THR confirms.
While HBO has yet to reveal his character, online speculation points to Gatt’s IMDB page which has him listed as playing a character called “Styr”, Magnar of Thenn, the wildling leader noted for his muscular build and hairless body, in the Season 4 premiere.
Gatt recently tweeted about being in Iceland where the fantasy serial films its scenes beyond the wall.
In George R.R. Martin‘s third book in A Song of Ice and Fire, A Storm of Swords, Styr heads an onslaught on Castle Black as part of Mance Rayder’s attack on the Wall.
Martin previously stated Styr will have a role in Season 4, which will also introduce new characters Mace Tyrell (father of Margaery and Loras) and Oberyn Martell (aka the Red Viper – who holds a grudge against the Lannisters).
