The quest for the tapes begins in earnest tonight as the Fringe team search for the first part of Walter’s grand plan to defeat the Badservers, as established in “In Absentia”.
Ahead of “The Recordist“, Fox has released a new “Trust The Tapes” featurette with the cast outlining the concept behind the search for pieces of Walter’s plan and more insight into the role this ‘treasure hunt’ plays in shaping the final season format. “Instead of there being cases of the week, the team has to put together this plan as a Hail Mary to repel the Observer invasion or maybe destroy the Observers,” Joshua Jackson notes.
