As we know it’s destination future for Fringe in its final season. Showrunner J.H. Wyman has revealed some more insight into the tone of what fans can expect.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Wyman further teased the 2036 future, glimpsed in “Letters Of Transit,” that will set the stage for Fringe Division’s final battle:

“The jump ahead is going to be filled with lots of twists and turns and things you don’t expect, it’s a really interesting sort of playground and visually it’s really exciting being in the future.”

Wyman also emphasised the continuation of the Observers-ruled police state that Fringe Diision’s finest will hope to overthrow:

“[It's going to have wow-factor], just the idea of where Big Brother left off and what happened next, so there’s a lot of opportunities to tell some far-out stories [with] things that shake you out of your comfort zone.”

Elsewhere, Wyman confirmed the saga will conclude with a three-part series finale.

The end begins Sept. 28 on Fox.

3 part finale in the sense that episodes 11,12 and 13 will be the 3 part finale or that episode 13 will be 3 hours long?
Please let it be the latter! I know it probably isn’t, but please let it be!

Hopefully these twist and turns will lead to some answers and not more questions.

Would be weird of if the Season 1-3 team met up with season 4 team which would: Example future Walter from the Alt timeline telling himself in season 4 timeline we need belly.
