Could Fringe force the issue and deliver an uptick in the ratings game?

Fringe went up from 1.1 last week to a 1.2 rating for “Forced Perspective” in the coveted adults 18-49 demo, with 3,373,000 viewers. This represents the show’s first demo increase since gaining a 1.3 for “Novation”.

I really don’t get american ratings system!
this is the most viewers fringe has ever had since the premiere yet it’s not the highest rated episode and people dont seem to care much about it!

still yey for increasing! :)

Ratings is the percent of households tuned in on the channel, viewers are the actual number of viewers (if I got it right)

These up in the ratings are a response to the previous episode, that was awesome. Let’s see what will happen on the next, after Forced Perspective.

I agree that it was a response to last week. So, why not follow up on that momentum instead of snatching defeat from from the jaws of victory by burning off a sleeper like 4.10?

The real issue with it, from what I understand, is that it’s all estimated through Nielsen, including the 3.3 million viewers (is that correct, Roco?) The 1.2 is just for that Demo and the 3.3 million is everything calculated through Nielsen. Which is a joke because it’s only, something around 50,000 people being estimated and Nielsen states that 99million homes have TV’s in the US which is far lower than true. Nielsen ruins everything cause it isn’t accurate. It’s outdated and irrelevant and yet, it’s the standard and it’s in control.

Yep, viewership is measured through Nielsen.

I’m glad they finally gave Blair and Lance some personal and good material.
Two great actors that deserve so much more wonderful scenes.

I have a feeling ratings will continue upwards due to the difficulty of downloading files through megaupload and etc right now.
