Fringe alum John Noble will guest-star in the upcoming season finale of Forever.
The ABC immortality drama is unlikely to survive for Season 2, but will round off its first season with the Fringe and Sleepy Hollow vet playing a central role.
Per EW, Noble will play Aubrey Griffin, the world’s leading expert of antiquities and adventure:
Through his numbers books, Griffin is seen by the contemporaries as a mythological mix of Indiana Jones and James Bond. Despite his tales of travel and history, few know that he is confined to a wheelchair—his life is limited to the safe confines of his affluent Central Park West apartment.
That all changes when a museum curator turns up dead, in her possession a Roman dagger. Griffin quickly concludes that there is far more to this blade than meets the eye—it’s the actual knife that ended the life of Emperor Julius Caesar. What’s more, the dagger contains a curse of death to any and all who come into contact with it. Could this also be the same Roman dagger that was used to first kill Adam (Burn Gorman) back in 44 B.C.?
ABC has yet to officially confirm the status of Forever beyond Season 1, but with low-ratings pushing the show closer to the fringes cancellation, Forever appears to be bracing for an early end.
