The second season of Falling Skies reaches its climax in this Sunday’s finale (Aug 19) — but will the 2nd Mass form “A More Perfect Union” with the Skitter rebellion in a bid to finally take down the nasty Overlords? This new sneak peek from TNT provides an early piece of the finale puzzle:
Synopsis: When skitters approach the newly combined resistance force, the groups’ interaction surprises everyone. Meanwhile, Tom finds out life-changing news just as the 2nd Mass comes face-to-face with their most dangerous threat to date. Terry O’Quinn guest-stars.
So, we have most of the 2nd Mass prime openly making a stand with the Skitters and at the same time shielding them from General Bressler and his drones. Of course, Tom’s motivations are, in part, to defend Ben, but its a far cry from when he had Red Eye in lock up.
I didn’t see Pope in the above clip so it will be interesting to see what stance he takes. But it looks like the Skitter rebellion is on — not really in question in light of the earlier promos, but this clip conveys some of the complexity before the mayhem.
