Doctor Who executive producer Steven Moffat has dropped some fresh hints about the new companion who will join the Doctor’s side in series 7.
The hints come from the Melbourne Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular programme, in which Moffat penned a foreword teasing the 50th anniversary bash and the next companion:
Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary is coming. In Cardiff, we’re gearing up for the biggest, the best and the most ambitious season we’ve ever made. There will be shocks, surprises and heartbreak – the Doctor is about to say goodbye to his very best friends, Amy and Rory.
And then he’s about to say hello to someone very different – the Doctor is going to meet someone very new in the very last place he could ever have expected…
Karen Gillan has already alluded to the possibility that Amy Pond’s ‘heartbreaking’ exit could take place before the series 7 finale, stating that she’s only in “a few episodes. A few really good episodes.”
While that’s yet to be confirmed, a new companion will enter the fray — but does Moffat’s tease shed any light on who it could be? Let the speculation..continue.

Their gonna unlock Gallifrey and the new companion will be a relative or atleast a timelord….. but im half wondering if river will b the companion and this girl their saying is just to distract us….. Would still love to see jenny again!
