i wonder if this is leading up to some crazy timywimy thing that will allow for everybody from amy pond to some of the old doctors or even the face of bo to come back for the 50th anniversary somehow. maybe some one off somebody messed with time thing so people can die mroe than once/come back? makes me wonder..
also, anybody know why, if he can travel through time, he cant run into his old self/previous incarnations? timy wimy thing?

he tries to avoid overlapping/crossing with his own time line (it could cause a universe-ending or something), but he has met has past selves before

He has done so on numerous occasions. But it’s generally considered not a good idea. The last time (in “Time Crash”) the Fifth and Tenth Doctors met and it threatened to blow a hole in the universe the size of Belgium. Before that, the Time Lords tended to supervise the meetings when they happened. It’s due to the first law of time which is basically “Thou shalt not meet yourself”.
