DEXTER: Has Season 7′s Big Bad Been Snared Already?

ray-stevenson

Dexter gears up for its seventh season with its first piece of casting business — Ray Stevenson has joined the Showtime serial in a major recurring role.

As per TV Line, the Rome actor will play a high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates.

No word just yet on whether he’ll play the upcoming season’s ‘Big Bad’. On that topic, exec producer Manny Coto recently teased:

“We kind of know what we’re going to do next season, but we don’t know what kind of position there will be for a Big Bad, so to speak, or not. We may do someone that goes over two seasons. The options are open for us.”

A two-season Big Bad would certainly be interesting, giving what is likely to be the show’s final 2 seasons even more of an arc-feel. We’ll see what transpires.

I agree, a 2 season big bad would be good news. Something diferent for the show aswell. I would like them to do it like this. I think two badies for two season is cool too, more think to be looking forward to and enjoy but a change like this would be interesting to see.
