Seriable darling LOST may have walked off into the light more than a year ago, but the show still had a Comic-Con presence the 2011 convention.
Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse teamed up with EW to present Comic-Con’s LOST: One Year Later panel at Friday’s event. And the duo came bearing gifts – a never before seen “deleted scene” from the Season 1 finale that, without a shadow of a doubt, proves they had it all planned out from the beginning.
Head past the jump to take a look at the secret scene.
Very sneaky Dalrton. ![]()
As for whether this is the end for LOST-related panels? Lindelof wasn’t closing the hatch on that one:
“The fans are going to dictate what they want from us and we’ll do our best to give it to them, but more LOST is not on the agenda for us. But look at Star Trek - those guys probably thought they were done with it, and 40 years later [William] Shatner’s here unveiling a documentarythat he shot called “Captains”.
I think LOST is a huge part of us and who knows if we’re going to revisit it. If there are fun ways that the fans want to get together and invite us to whatever that get-together is, we can never turn our noses up at that. But in terms of creating content or announcing a LOST movie. I think we pretty much feel the same way we did a year ago, which is we put so much energy into ending it”
At which point Cuse jokes that he’s been secretly planning a LOST musical called “Turn Off The Island”.

lol I’m not sure if that was supposed to be serious or not. I think that was entirely in jest, even if it was shot back during S1. Barry lol

Just to be clear, the ‘planned it all along thing’ is definitely a joke (hence Jacob/MIB arguing). It was filmed recently at the Disney lot by Jack Bender.
