TOUCH Attracts A Lethal Weapon – Danny Glover Joins FOX Pilot

In a lethal piece of casting, Touch has added Danny Glover to its roster.

TV Line report that Glover will star opposite Kiefer Sutherland in the FOX mid-season drama pilot.

Glover will play Arthur DeWitt, a professor and an expert on children who possess special gifts when it comes to numbers. Which ties directly into yesterday’s announcement that David Mazouz will play the role of Jake – the gifted son of Martin Bohm (Sutherland) who can predict future events.

Although I’m skeptical of another Tim Kring project, the talent on board so far is promising. Let’s hope this is a good sign for the script.

Touch is penned by Tim Kring, who will also exec produce with Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope, Kiefer Sutherland, Suzan Bymel

Who isn’t skeptical of Tim Kring at this point? He showed he learned absolutely nothing through interviews about Heroes. The premise does seem interesting, the acting talent is there, now all we need is execution.

Actually, I’m not skeptical. I’m really excited about this series, and I was before either Sutherland or Glover signed on. Everyone knows that Heroes messed up. But Touch seems to me that Kring can take the sort of spirit of Heroes and give it a restart.
