Does The 24 Movie Finally Have Lift-Off?

24_1

A 24 movie has been in the works for some time now. But since the show went off the air last May, nothing concrete has come about. Could that be about to change?

In an interview with Extra, 24′s Kiefer Sutherland revealed that filming could start by the end of the year:

“It’s a very difficult thing to take something that you’ve done for eight years, two-hundred episodes and try to find a story that’s going to be unique and yet service the history of the show as well,” he said. “We start shooting hopefully by December or January”

What would you like to see from a 24 movie? Does the likelihood of ongoing script changes concern you?

This means it’ll be 2013 release, which is long to time to air something related to something that ended 3 years before. I think a lot of people will have moved on from 24 by then, only die hard fans would probably want to see it, so I really don’t know how well it will do in the box-office.
