4. Star Wars: Underworld

According to reports, one of the early storylines that will feature in the live action Star Wars TV series (assuming it ever gets made) will involve time-travel. Aint It Cool News understand that one of the first episodes will involve a group of bandits going back in time to prevent Darth Vader from ever existing. This seems in-keeping with the ‘more complex and adult’ vibe the series hopes to achieve, while time-travel is a concept that’s relatively new to the Star Wars movie and TV universe — one only used in some of the novels.

Do my eyes deceive me or does it look like we’ll get the Bridget/Siobhan face-off we’ve been waiting for? I’m rather looking forward to Ringer‘s return. For all its faults, it gets props for unashamedly embracing serialization, and with a bit of polish it could nail down that twisty puzzle element that energized the series after a lackluster start.

A new promo for the fourteenth episode of ABC‘s Revenge sets our sights on “Perception”.

Things are looking up for POI — on the heels of a Best New TV Drama win at the People’s Choice Awards, last week also saw a series high for “Super”, which coughed up a 3.2 in the coveted adults 18-49 rating and 14.7 million viewers.

I also thought 1.11 was one of the show’s better episodes — still too much ‘number-of-the-week’ crunching for my liking, and not as exciting as the previous two. But there was some continuation of the overarching story, including some backstory fleshing with Finchy talking to his Machine, which was very enjoyable. More Finchy treating the Machine like a human-being, please.

King George, who we suspected was warning Snow White to stay away in these early photos, is specifically threatening her with the death of her prince Charming if she doesn’t back off and let his marriage to King Midas’ daughter go ahead. The King, as we know, had a lot riding on that union. Would he really kill his son? It’s believable, as he doesn’t have the same bond with him as he did the original James.

So basically, this is your ‘unrequited’ love story where our ‘heroes’ fight against the odds to be together. Nothing wrong with that notion, I just cringe at how Once is handling it.

And now it looks as though Emma is getting a new love interest. I say ‘new’ as though Graham and Emma’s connection went beyond a single episode (not that I’m complaining!). Outside of that though, his arrival should move the story in interesting directions.
