Plot Synopsis: Oceanic Air flight 815 tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island, leaving 48 passengers alive and stranded on a remote island in the South Pacific. The survivors include a diverse group of people from different walks of life — a doctor, an escaped fugitive, a con man, an Iraqi interrogator, a married Korean couple and a man formerly confined to a wheelchair who is now inexplicably healed. As the castaways attempt to get home, flashbacks (and forwards) illuminate their troubled lives before and after the crash, as the island they find themselves stranded on begins to slowly reveal its mysterious nature. Faith, reason, destiny and free will all clash as the island offers opportunities for both corruption and redemption… but as to its true purpose? That’s the greatest mystery of all.

From What Kate Did to What Kate Does, Lost’s Spiral Coming into View

by Roco February 16, 2010

It wasn’t so much Kate that annoyed me in the third episode of Lost’s final season, but what she did..or does, that made me realise how contrived this season is in danger of becoming. There’s no doubt that Lost has always rode that wave, with suspension of disbelief being a pre-requisite for any serious Lost [...]

New Opening Lost Titles ‘Leaked’..

by Roco February 15, 2010

The simplicity of the opening Lost titles may contrast with the mega-mythology of the island, but somehow I can’t think of a more apt decoration. That was until the new Lost title were leaked. And by “leaked”, I mean fabricated. Take a look below the jump to see what I mean, something tells me Lost [...]

Jimmy Fallon Lost Parody

by Roco February 15, 2010

Parodies of the hit ABC series Lost are hardly a novelty, so you have to go some to find one that offers something new or makes the corners of your mouth curl upwards. Jimmy Fallon‘s latest Lost paradoy definitely falls into both categories. We’ve embedded the video after the break so you can have a [...]

Coolsome: A Strategic Guide to Lost

by Roco February 15, 2010

While I’m not sure about the accuracy of this “Strategic Guide to Lost” chart (Kate, a “good guy”, really?), and I don’t believe good vs bad is quite as simple as it’s been depicted, I do appreciate the spirit in which is was made. I also like the way Jacob hovers ominously over the entire [...]

Lost: LA X Flashes Me Sideways

by Roco February 9, 2010

To be honest, I wasn’t overly surprised by the alternate reality/flash sideways deal – I kind of suspected things could play out this way after the Carlos Castaneda easteregg from last season’s episode “He’s Our You”. However, I was really satisfied with the way the two realities concept was crafted, and I really enjoyed having [...]

JJ. Abrams Wants Fringe End Date Like Lost

by Roco February 3, 2010

The return of Lost last night represented the beginning of the end for one of the decade’s most successful and rewarding serialized TV experiences (Okay, THE most successful and rewarding!). But there was a brief period somewhere during season 3 when things didn’t look so rosy – the phrase “filler episodes” and “6 episode pod” [...]
