The first official key art poster for the upcoming fifth season of AMC’s Breaking Bad has arrived — “All Hail The King”..
Simple, but highly effective. The poster indicates the hollowness of Walter’s succession to the throne, following his ‘victory’ over Gus Fring (at what cost?) — a largely empty warehouse, filled only with a forlorn-looking Walt on his throne, with tubs of blue meth and piles of money lined up either side – “All Hail The King,” indeed! This is obviously a Walt-centric poster, which is in-line with the focus being on his journey “down that dark path that he’s very willfully put himself on”, but it’s nevertheless interesting that Jesse is absent.
