“Don’t mistake coincidence for fate.” – Mr. Eko
Congratulations to LOST for becoming the first-ever Seriable Hall Of Legends inductee! The acclaimed ABC mystery series overcame five other Seriable Shows in our May 2011 face-off with an impressive 34% of the total – voted for by fans of serialized and mythology TV!
Here are the official results of the May 2011 SHOL:
Seriable Hall Of Legends: May 2011
- Lost (34%, 66 Votes)
- The X-Files (26%, 50 Votes)
- 24 (17%, 32 Votes)
- Alias (8%, 16 Votes)
- Breaking Bad (8%, 16 Votes)
- The Wire (7%, 14 Votes)
Total Voters: 193
As a result, LOST is the first serialized/mythology series to be honored in the Seriable Hall Of Legends! This is some achievement for LOST, beating off incredibly strong competition which included: ‘X-Files’, Alias, 24, Breaking Bad and the Wire.
Thanks to all who voted, and well done to the other shows which polled well.
We’ll be running the June 2011 vote with six more Seriable nominations from June 23rd. We hope that you’ll take part once again, as each and every vote counts.
You can find more details over on our Seriable Hall Of Legends Page (which will be updated).

I myself voted for Lost, but if I would have given a second choice, I would have voted for Alias…It’s so sad to see that Alias obtained only 16 votes!! It was really a hell of a show!!

I think that ranking “Alias” well below “24″ and so far below “Lost” is a good indication that many people casting their votes have never seen “Alias”, just as I have never seen “The Wire” or “Breaking Bad”.
Using ‘re-watchability’ as a measuring stick, “Alias” is the only show on the list that I have re-watched cover to cover. Although I have logged a lot of face time with “Lost”, “24″, and “The X-Files”, I have to rule them out as first-ballot Legend material on that basis.

As always…I have to agree with you, Page 48! I didn’t consider the fact that people maybe never saw Alias. But it’s almost inconceivable for me…!! ^^ So…the only thing I can say to those people is: Go immediately (possibly running and wearing a red wig) to watch Alias! What are you waiting for? You don’t have all the time in the world!!
If we use “re-watchability” as a measuring stick, I have to admit that I have almost consumed my DVDs of Alias…while I haven’t done the same with Lost!!
