[tps_title]#3: PERSON OF INTEREST (Seasons 2 & 3)[/tps_title]
“Use your charm, not your sidearm”
The king of serial-procedurals. The vigilante crime show that you can’t miss an episode of. One, because even the most standard case-of-the-week type episodes are (almost) always connected to a larger story, and two, because the show is just that good. Three years in, the show keeps finding ways to refresh and update itself… Much like the Machine it centers around. The writing often is as gripping as it can be comicky, but with its great cast, fun characters, intriguing storylines, unexpected plot twists and formidable villains, Person Of Interest became must watch TV in a relatively short period of time. I, for one, did not expect the show to rise this high on my list when it started two years ago!
2013 was Person Of Interest’s strongest year so far, with classic episodes such as Prisoner’s Dilemma, Relevance, Zero Day, God Mode and Razgavor. And that’s not even mentioning the spectacular three episode HR arc, which everyone would agree took the show to a whole new level. As storylines from the first episode of the show finally came to a head, Person Of Interest became grittier than ever. The first major death of the show was announced months before it happened, but the writers expertly made sure to keep us guessing up until the very last second about whose number was up for good. Now that the show has had its so-called heart ripped out, it will be very interesting to see what it will look like in 2014.
