“Hon, you got to stop stabbing him.”
When creator Noah Hawley mentioned that Fargo‘s rebooted second season would focus more on comedy, he failed to mention the insane amount of bloodshed featured on the show. If Fargo is supposed to be a comedy, it’s the darkest and most violent one I’ve ever seen.
That’s not to say the show is not hilarious – it is. In fact, Fargo season 2 seems to succeed at everything it attempts to do. It’s shot, framed, edited written and directed like no other show on television. The show’s writing team could randomly insert a flying saucer to change the course of events and still get away with it! If they wanted to, of course.
Besides the people working behind the camera, the show has an amazing cast including names like Patrick Wilson, Kirsten Dunst, Bokeem Woodbine, Ted Danson and Jean Smart. A killer story performed by a killer cast. There’s nothing else a TV fan could wish for. And yet, Fargo is not the best show of the year…
