The Incredible Hulk is preparing to smash its way to the screen in the 2013/14 season — but will it be seriable?
Truth is, we don’t know. It’s far too early to say. However, we’ll certainly have our eyes on the green monster and hope that there’s an ongoing arc-story planned, as opposed to smash-em-of-the-week, or what have you.
What we do know is that ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee told reporters at this week’s upfronts that a show based on the Hulk had been considered this year but didn’t make the cut.
Avengers Movies Hulk to be Recycled for TV Hulk
However, the show, which has been in the works for a while, is now slated for the 2013/14 season, with Guillermo del Toro continuing to work on the project.
Lee noted that Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee is eager to bring other characters to television but a recent pilot based on The Punisher didn’t get the green light.
We’ll keep you updated on Hulk and his seriable potential.

Hold on a minute, I thought Marvel Studios were going to make a series
of films starring the Hulk after his turn in Whedon’s “Avengers” proved
so popular. Won’t having a live-action Hulk TV series hurt the profits of any future
Hulk movies?

@Residents – You never know, it could do, but there’s a good chance it will increase profits, especially if the show and movie are both successful.
It’ll be interesting if they nab Mark Ruffolo to star in the series as well as the potential Hulk film. That might be unlikely, but it’s something to think about, along with the possibility of continuity between series and movie.

Mark Ruffalo said he’s not going to play Bruce Banner in the New Hulk TV series. Instead they will cast a younger actor in his mid 20′s.

I would’ve dismissed this out of hand to be honest – but then I saw Guillermo del Toro was involved. As a director he is several shades of awesome. I’ll keep an eye out for it.

I believe that The New live action Hulk TV series have something to do with Incredible Hulk 2008 film. Because the 2008′s film is attach to the New Hulk TV series coming early stages of 2013.

I will want Edward Norton to return to New Hulk TV series coming next year. And look like in his mid 20′s as a younger actor better and more than Mark Ruffalo.

How would you all feel about the new series being a loose sequel to the original series? would Marvel have a problem with it?
If they did a loose sequel now they’ll probably reveal that Banner didn’t die from the fall instead went into deep hibernation, the down side it would lack any supporting characters or villains from the comics and use only the continuity of the Bixby/ Ferrigno show.
