A couple of snippets from new ABC President, Paul Lee ,during the TCA Press Tour, on V, Hulk and Jessica Jones.

On V, Lee said that the network are “very pleased” with last week’s season 2 premiere ratings, and revealed their thinking in reducing the episode number.

“We made sure it was ten episodes so we could quality control those episodes.  And we also brought a whole load of new ideas into it, so we’ve tried to really amp up the level of adrenaline in that show.”

Well, we see on that front. I thought “Red Rain” was OK, but I expect more improvement as the season progresses.

Lee also expressed his enthusiasm at the “superb opportunity” to do Marvel branded series, with Hulk and Jessica Jones in development, and said they, “won’t be the only two Marvel things that we do going forward.”
