The 24 movie is making strides with a Spring start earmarked.

Mark Bomback (The Wolverine) hopes to deliver the latest script draft by the end of the year. There are reportedly five directors in consideration by Imagine and the studio (Tony Scott is no longer attached), with Deadline reporting that things will really kick into gear in the early part of next year.

The aim is to get the film into production to sync with Kiefer Sutherland’s availability, which begins in April. Sutherland is currently filming the FOX preternatural series, Touch, which sneak peeks in January before feeling its way into March.

Looks like this is really happening.
