Don’t you just love it when a show takes you by the scruff of the neck and gives you much more than you ever thought possible? Maybe it’s just me then. But after watching “A Study In Pink” – the first part of the BBC’s Sherlock, I was blown away by just how good it was.
Everyone knows about Sherlock Holmes – one of the fiction’s great detectives – but not many know Sherlock Holmes quite like how he’s portrayed in the new BBC series. The AMC blog is running a sweepstake to win a Walking Dead walk-on role. While this may not seem too newsworthy at first glance, once you realize that the part is for the second season of the zompocalypse series, you begin to understand the mentality of the network. In other words, they’re confident that the first season will be successful enough to bring them a second season. And why not? Everything I’ve seen and heard about the show so far has me excited – and I’m not even all that into zombies!
Of course, the proof will most definitely be in the zombified pudding, but it’s good to see that AMC believe so much in their product that they’re already thinking of extending the narrative beyond the first season. Click past the jump for details on how to enter.
